Science Behind Generation of Solar Energy (Energia Solar)

The sun is part of the solar system and it usually radiates some light. This light that is emitted by the sun is what is called solar energy (energia solar).

Just like other stars and planets in the solar system, the sun is more or less like a nuclear reactor in that it undergoes continuous nuclear fusion or process. It is this nuclear fusion that cause emission or radiation of light. This light is what now travel from the source (the sun) and through space to the Earth where we live.

This radiation from the sun will seep into the atmosphere and get to us in form of solar energy (energia solar) or light. It has been proven scientifically that solar light is very powerful as it is able to do many things including the following;

a.       It is what plants use to carry out photosynthesis.

b.      It is able to dry wet things.

c.       It can heat a surface to red hot.

d.      Sunlight can dry human skin and even burn it.

Technology has really found many creative ways of utilizing the energies from the sunlight. It was in the process of looking for creative things to do with solar power that brought about electricity in the year 1954.

Electricity is very essential for everyone nowadays. It is what we use to do many things. Therefore, by having sunlight converted to electric energy is one of the greatest technological advances of the 21st century. Another great aspect of generating electricity with the use of sunlight is that no carbon footprints is being generated in the process. However, this solar-to-electric energy conversion is not an easy thing to do.
