Reading is a good habit which is getting reduced nowadays. People sit before their laptop and search whatever they want but reading books have numerous benefits.  If we understand the benefits then all of us will show a special interest in reading books. Now let us analyze the benefits.
Brain exercising
We know very well about our physical exercises. But what about our brain? They too need some exercises that have to be done periodically. Reading is one type of brain exercise. It benefits our mental health in the form of thinking and understanding. When we concentrate while we read it will stimulate our cognitive skills. This stimulation can sharpen your brain. This will increase your concentration. So, on the whole, it is a good brain exercise.
Vocabulary and knowledge expansion
You can develop your vocabulary when you come to know new terms and words. This can happen only when you read books. While reading books you will come across high vocabulary words and you will eagerly find out the meaning for those words. This, in turn, will increase your vocabulary. You can start this habit from your kids themselves. There are many kids books available in the market. You need to select those books and make your kids read those books so that they can also get trained easily. Focus more on books that carry moral values.
